THE DISADVANTAGES OF INDIVIDUAL WORK
Disadvantages of individual work, are that it can lead to isolation of individual students that they have no social-educational component and run the risk of idling. To avoid such problems the teacher should be prepared with more than one task for quicker students and the teacher should be very active in supporting and controlling students individual work.
To distinguish from the solo work is individual work. In solo-work one task will be performed by the students without direct help from outside solutions in individual work. This will develop individual work steps and solutions independently, covered and transferred to other items. Self-confidence, creativity and their own actions are supported by individual work. The method of solo-work can also avoid the idling problem for quicker students, if the teacher is directly planing it in advance to give to those students an individual work task which is culminating in a solo-work task.

It will take long time to complete the task by yourself.
All the responsibility for the project will be yours--This is both a disadvantage and positive depending on how you look at it. It a project goes bad you are the one that will be held accountable for it when by yourself.
No one to check your work with if unsure - to ask if an edit or shot is okay. When alone I will not have another opinion or set of hands there to help.
Heavy workload
- undergoing a task may prove to be too much/ a lot of work which may become stressful perhaps causing my work to not reach its full potential. Having others in a group spreads out the workload making it less time consuming and stressful.
Bounce off each others ideas/collaborative
- when in a team others ideas and thoughts can be valuable, therefore working in a group can help produce a more varied piece of work instead of simple one person's work and ideas.
